Description
This 80-hectare park, the size of a small city, features replicas of temples, palaces, and historic buildings from all over Thailand. It's a way to see the entire country in one day without the hassle of travel.
The drive from Bangkok is about an hour.
On the program:
Erawan Museum
A three-headed elephant as tall as a multi-story building, inside is a museum with stained glass windows, antiques, and Buddhist relics. From the outside, it looks like a movie set, but inside, it's an unexpectedly serious place.
Ancient Siam
An open-air museum park: dozens of precise replicas of iconic temples and architectural monuments of Thailand, from north to south.
The most convenient way to get around is by bicycle or golf cart, which are available for rent. You only realize the scale once you're inside.
